i was lucky enough to get it, i think it was a bargain then, and remains a bargain. Four great shows, and a cracking bonus disc. I agree though that it should be reissued, 10,000 seems a ridiculously low number i preordered the moment I got the email, which is unusual for me. Living out here you never know when something goods gonna come along...

Yea when it came out I was out here in Indonesia pre-high speed internet times, here at least, so I didn't even know about it. Still I think that same formula could be applied to many runs and would satisfy a lot of wants as well as sell a ton of disks. Think about it, I bet they could have {and still can} released a 5 show 10 disk May of 77 boxed set at say $100 a pop and made proportionally the same {In my estimation} as releasing 5 separate disks without the additional marketing costs. Not to say you couldn't release individual shows too but as a businessman it seems that they are not realizing the market value of certain dead periods in the big picture. However I also realize that I don't know all the logistics that are particular to recording releases so this is not a critique per say but only a thought.

Grateful Dead fans are pretty unique in their approach to buying material. Few other bands would have got away with so many live box sets, or live releases, especially given the vast quantity of music available
